I've always liked Minecraft. It's a simple but very fun and addictive game. Lately I haven't really gotten into it, every time I tried I got bored within seconds and gave up. Yesterday I made a modpack of some old mods I used to like and gave it a try, expecting to quit again. Boy was I wrong! I've spent the last 2 days of my life playing this game non-stop and it's very rewarding! Here are some screenshots:
My humble abode (I'm going to build something bigger soon dw
Part of the map, I like naming locations and coming up with names for stuff to practice my German. If I could zoom out more I would...
My favourite weapons, will make dragonsteel versions later on!
The entire lore of this playthrough:
Good luck reading it!
When I first loaded in around Niemansland (without loading in the 2 dragons) I went straight to the nearby village to eat carrots. After getting some footing I made stone tools and went to the swamp to make a lil cave house which I upgraded to normal house by making a second floor above ground. Then came the iron, then came the first dragon. I loaded in the dragon north of Frieden and was scared shitless. I dug myself inside a cave with the thing flyning above the entrance. I made a shit ton of iron tomahawks and chipped away at the dragon until it died (not very glorious but a good strategy nonetheless). Then I made a crossbow for old time's sake and noticed another dragon near the now-named Toddrachedorf (Deathdragonvillage). Shot at it with my crossbow until it dislodged itself and I had to run away while shooting at it, managed to kill it too. After being crowned the dragonslayerI decided to work on some side quests. I went to the savannah looking for Cockatrices to make witherbone handles to make weapons out of dragonbone, didn't find any and died repeatedly to the sun god until I killed it with my trusty iron-strengthened crossbow and a water bucket. Explored more of the savannah until I found a dragon in open plains I couldn't deal with so I ran away. After some farming I headed east, finding 2 dragons, killing both at the same time with a very scuffed but very effective trench system, called the place Niemansland (No Man's Land) after the trench warfare strategy I had just invented and the fact it was devastated with fire and big holes caused by the dragons. Went north to get ice cubes to go to the nether, found an ice village and when trying to cross a river to get to it I was introduced to the marine life of the area pretty abruptly when I was splattered all over the floor by a sea serpent which I killed with a crossbow once again on the second rodeo. Found and died to an ice dragon further north, killed it in the second rodeo again again. Got ice cubes swiftly only dying to hypothermia once. Made the coil that keeps areas nice and chill and put it in the entrance of the nether fortress. Shit sucked, it did its job well but everytime I looked away from it while it was activated it dropped my fps to 8 in sudden and frequent lag spikes. Managed to kill 5 wither skeletons without dying, got enough witherbones for the halberd, saber and crossbow. Now I'm working on a dragon forge which is expensive as fuck so I'm actively seeking out fights with dragons. Have already died twice B).
